Terms and conditions of sale
Article 1 / Length of stay
Customers booking accommodation with the owner for a fixed period may not, under any circumstances, claim any right to remain in the premises.
Article 2 / Formalitiess de reservation
Upon receipt of the reservation made by the customer on the owner’s website: https://www.lamaisonforte.com/, the said customer will receive a confirmation e-mail entitled: your reservation on the La Maison Forte website.
The owner invites the customer to verify the elements of this reservation:
- contact details, in particular e-mail address and cell phone number, so that you can be reached before and during the booking.
- its comments and, if this booking is a gift, the complete contact details of the beneficiaries so that the owner can draw up a gift voucher if desired.
- room booked – number of people – arrival date – departure date – number of nights.
- the total price of the reservation, the amount indicated being inclusive of all taxes, including tourist tax
If the booking meets expectations, we invite the customer to pay a deposit of 30% of the total cost of the service booked within 15 days.
Once the deposit has been received, the reservation becomes firm.
By paying the deposit, the customer confirms full acceptance of the general conditions specified below.
If the deposit is not paid within the specified period, the reservation will not be confirmed. Consequently, at the end of the 15-day period, the owner reserves the right to re-let the room(s).
Article 3 / Room rates
Rates shown are per room, per night, breakfast included, plus tourist tax.
Rates are differentiated according to whether the room is occupied by one or two people.
Rates do not include any additional services.
Article 4 / Cancellation of the stay by the customer
Any change to the booking, date or room, is only possible with the owner’s agreement and may result in additional charges, and will be subject to availability on the date of the change.
The customer is informed of the special conditions in the event of cancellation of the reservation before the beginning of the stay:
- if the cancellation is made more than 15 calendar days before the arrival date, the deposit paid at the time of booking will be refunded in full to the customer;
- if the cancellation occurs between the 14th calendar day and the 3rd calendar day before the arrival date, the deposit paid at the time of booking will be retained by the owner, unless the owner manages to re-let the room(s).
- if the cancellation is made less than 48 hours before the arrival date, the full amount of the reservation will remain due to the owner, unless the owner manages to re-let the room(s).
- In the event of early departure during the stay, the full amount of the service booked will be due.
Article 5 / Non présentation
In the event of a no-show, the full amount of the reservation will be due.
Article 6 / Cancellation insurance
The owner draws the customer’s attention to the fact that no cancellation insurance is included in his rates. It is therefore strongly recommended that you take out such insurance.
Article 7 / Cancellation of the stay by the owner
If, before the beginning of the stay, the owner has to cancel the reservation, he will immediately inform the customer by registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt.
The customer will then be immediately and fully reimbursed for all sums paid.
Article 8 / Time‘arrivalée
Customers must arrive on the day specified at the time of booking, no earlier than 5pm (when rooms are available and keys handed over) and no later than 8pm.
Customers must give advance notice by telephone if they are forced to arrive after this time.
As far as possible, please do not plan to arrive after 9:30 pm.
Article 9 / Small–breakfast
Breakfast time is set:
- weekdays from Monday to Saturday from 7:00 am to 9:00 am at the latest.
- Sunday from 8:00 am to 10:00 am at the latest.
Article 10 / Departure time
Room check-out time is :
- weekdays from Monday to Friday by 10:00 a.m. at the latest.
- Saturday and Sunday by 11:00 am at the latest.
Article 11 / Règlement du solde de l‘accommodation
The balance of the stay must be paid before departure, on the customer’s initiative.
An invoice is given to the customer on departure with details of the service, the amount of the accommodation, the amount of any additional services, the amount of the tourist tax and the amount of VAT applied.
Article 12 / Change of rooms
It is possible that the owner, for reasons of service or security, may have to modify the room initially booked by the customer. In this case, the change will always be for a room of the same capacity and offering the same level of service.
In such cases, the cost of the reservation will be adjusted.
Article 13 / Pets
Pets (dogs) are tolerated, subject to a supplement of €15.00 per stay. They must be kept on a leash at all times. They are not allowed in common areas (outside terrace and inside rooms).
Cats are not allowed.
Some rooms are not suitable for pets. Please check with your hosts.
Article 14 / Art of living and use of the premises
In order to preserve the tranquillity of the premises and the comfort of our guests, a certain “art de vivre” is required of all of us, as is the case when living in a community.
In particular, we ask you not to smoke inside rooms and communal areas, and if possible to keep away from open doors and windows so as not to inconvenience the occupants.
For safety reasons, it is strictly forbidden to use :
- open flames such as matches, candles, bengal fire, etc.,…
- open-flame lighting fixtures, candelabras, candles, luminaires,
Open-flame light fittings, candelabras, candle-holders and luminaires are only permitted in outdoor areas, at a reasonable distance from the dwelling, and must be kept away from all flammable materials. They must also be positioned in such a way that, even if accidentally dropped, they cannot cause a fire.
The customer undertakes to return the rooms in perfect condition at the end of the stay and to declare systematically – and assume financially – any damage for which he/she is responsible.
As the rooms have been decorated and furnished with passion by the owner, we ask you to respect the objects made available. Any undeclared missing object will be billed to the customer at replacement value.
Customers are reminded that minors on the property are the sole responsibility of their parents or guardians.
Article 15 / Modification of sales conditions
The present conditions of sale may be modified at any time and without prior notice. Acceptance of and compliance with these conditions of sale are deemed to have been accepted as soon as the deposit has been paid.
Article 16 / Data Protection Act
In accordance with the French Data Protection Act no. 78-17 of January 6, 1978, customers have the right to access and rectify data concerning them. The owner undertakes not to pass on any information provided by the customer to other companies or organizations for advertising purposes.
